Recent news has focused on the rise of alternative payment models in health care and how the movement towards a value-based system can change the way we deliver and pay for care, for the better.

In three weeks, a dedicated and focused community will meet at the Fifth National Bundled Payment Summit in Washington, D.C. to discuss the benefits of bundled payments as an alternative payment model as well as best practices and lessons learned from those who have been in the midst of implementations. As the Summit’s sponsors, we are excited for this year’s event and look forward to engaging with attendees, you included. We hope you will be joining us!

Why should you attend? Reasons are plentiful, but we narrowed down our list to the top 5:

1. Two Pre-Conferences
This year, the Summit is offering not one, but two unique pre-conferences to choose from on Wednesday, June 3rd. The variety allows for additional opportunities to dive into different angles of bundled payments including implementations and benefits to using bundled payments for health plans, providers and consumers.

2. Four Mini-Summits
We are excited for our keynote speakers to take the stage and enlighten the audience. But we are also eagerly anticipating the four mini-Summits at this year’s event. Attendees will be able to focus on aspects of bundled payments that interest them most including the Medicare BPCI, state-wide implementations, engagement of employers and providers, and provider care redesign.

3. Innovation Showcase
For the first time ever, we are giving the floor on Thursday, June 4th to companies focused on supporting payers or providers. Innovative solutions from companies including TriZetto, Wellbe, HealthQx and others will take the stage to present their products or services. The presenters will be available after the Showcase to answer questions, demo products and discuss other opportunities with all attendees.

4. Networking
Come for the content and stay for the conversation. Last year’s Summit saw record attendance with over 200 dynamic and knowledgeable individuals ready to engage in meaningful conversation. After listening to the Opening Plenary Session and tracks, join us for a Networking Lunch and Networking Reception on Thursday, June 4th. Let the conversation flow and relationships flourish!

5. Location, Location, Location
The Summit will be held at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. In addition to the pleasant early-summer weather, the city has much to offer in terms of entertainment, sightseeing and dining, much of which is within walking distance.
