An Evidence-informed Case Rate®, or ECR®, is a budget for a comprehensive episode of medical care within a defined time period. It includes the prices of all covered services, bundled across all providers that would typically treat a patient for a given condition, adjusted for the severity and complexity of the patient's condition.
This ECR® Analysis Tool analyzes your claims data to create a snapshot of your current healthcare spending across multiple conditions. The tool will format and run your claims data through a PROMETHEUS ECR® SAS®-based application, and display an Opportunity Report highlighting the savings you can achieve by reducing your population's rate of potentially avoidable complications. Your steps include setting up your profile including username and password, reviewing the user agreement and downloading and running the application.
