Forum Guidelines and Terms
Please read the following rules and guidelines very carefully. By posting to the forums you agree to these guidelines and must obey them at all times. In addition, you agree to be contacted by the site administration when it becomes necessary to do so regarding your account activity. Your posts will become public and will be available to anyone with an Internet connection.
There may be additional guidelines relevant to individual forums. They will be the first topic and will be noted as important guidelines.
Guidelines:
The basic ground rules are simple: be polite, use common sense, don't break the law, and don't post self-serving messages. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in being banned from participation in HCI3 forums without notice or explanation. Our moderators have sole discretion in deciding whether or not the line of professionalism has been crossed, and you may be banned from the forums without explanation or notification.
BE POLITE. No rudeness, unpleasantness or disruptions.
Do not spam. DO NOT contact anyone about a product or service who is not explicitly expecting you to contact them. If you use any information contained in these forums to contact someone and present an offer, we will consider it spam.
You may not post or provide links to sites or images containing pornography, sexually explicit material, gross violence, or any other content moderators determine to be detrimental to the community.
Posts encouraging illegal intent will be removed and the poster will be blocked.
Messages are limited to the English language. This includes posts, titles, signatures and any attachments or other forms of public display.
Cross posting is not allowed. Cross posting is the practice of putting duplicate topics in multiple forums, or linking to a thread in another forum to gain additional exposure. Please choose the most relevant forum and post there.
Bumping is not permitted. Bumping is the practice of adding useless replies to topics in order to bump that topic to the top of the list.
Do not post information such as addresses, phone numbers, passwords, ID numbers or any other information (or HIPAA related information!) that might be considered private without the definitive permission of the individual.
You may not use phone numbers, URLs or any form of advertising in your username
Use appropriate titles for your forum topics - Titles like "help me" or "I'm stuck" serve little value in a forum. Try to be short but descriptive and unambiguous when submitting your post.
Reasonable signature advertising is tolerated, such as the name and logo of your company and some contact information. Whether or not it is considered reasonable is at the discretion of our moderators.
Signatures that are overly large, obnoxious, or violate any of the other rules are not allowed. For example, do not use many colors or font sizes larger than the rest of the forum post.
Marketing, Advertising and Business Related Content:
You may not post any message that is commercial by nature.
We do not wish to block you from mentioning your organization or a product or service. In fact, we'd like people to know you are with a given organization or represent a given product or service as it gives context to your knowledge and expertise. That being said, these forums do not exist for you to promote your organization, product or service. They exist to help our community explore solutions to problems in healthcare incentives improvement with others, be they professional, academic or otherwise. If you feel that mentioning your organization, product, or service is relevant to the conversation, outside of pure marketing purpose, then please do so. However, taking advantage of the forums for marketing or advertising purpose will not be tolerated and users will be blocked.
You may not solicit forum members for feedback or suggestions on your product or services
You may not solicit forum members for any project or purpose external to the forum; public, private or commercial. Most importantly, the community is not a resource to be "mined" by individuals, groups, or businesses, for profit or not for profit.
You may not post commission, referral or affiliate links anywhere in the forums.
You may not provide compensation for any posts on these forums.
Those who shill will be banned. A shill is someone who has a professional relationship with a product or service who does not admit that relationship in order to pretend to be a satisfied customer or interested bystander. People who omit their association with a product or service for reasons such as being paid to post about it or “helping a friend” are also considered shills.
Account Related:
Your account is yours alone. You are responsible for any activity created with it. If you share your account with anyone, you are responsible for his or her activity and may be banned even if you yourself were not responsible for inappropriate activity.
You are allowed to have one account whether or not you use only one and regardless of whether you represent multiple organizations. Ignoring this restriction may result in all of your accounts being deactivated. You can update your username and password via the "My Account" link in the right column when you are logged in.
If you have been banned and create a new account in order to continue to participate, you will be banned and any other accounts you create will be banned.
You may not post on behalf of any person who has been banned from the forums.
Moderator Activities:
Moderators have final, non-negotiable say over what posts are approved or deleted. Users who post objectionable content may have that content denied, deleted and may be blocked from further participation without notice. We will make reasonable attempts to notify posters and give a warning of content deemed objectionable before banning where we feel the poster may not have realized the implications of their content. Content that is not identified as objectionable initially does not mean it will not be identified as such in the future and should not be construed as definitively approved. Our moderators discuss activity on a regular basis and their decisions may change at any time. Use common sense. If you know you are doing something we will find objectionable or that goes against the rules, guidelines or spirit of these forums, assume you will be banned from future participation.
Moderators cannot determine the accuracy of information that may be uploaded to the forum and do not edit posts. Opinions, advice and all other information expressed by the participants in discussions are those of the author. You rely on such information at your risk. You are urged to seek professional advice for specific individual situations and not rely solely on advice or opinions given in the discussions.
Posts or accounts will not be removed by request, however please contact us at info@hci3.org if you have any questions or concerns regarding the forums or participants.
Other Terms and Conditions:
We reserve the right to modify and amend these terms at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to remain informed of HCI3 policies.
We reserve the right to disable any account at any time for any reason without notice.
Any abuse towards our staff and/or management, in any form, may result in immediate suspension of your account.
If you have any questions about any of these policies and guidelines, please contact us at info@hci3.org.

We will not release any member information unless legally obligated to do so.
